I am going to join up with Val at Val's Quilting Studio to do the piggy bank savings challenge. For one year I'm going to save my change and see how much I can accumulate...I'll put the savings towards going to a quilt cruise! It may take me more than a few years to save up, but that is something on my bucket list.
Since I don't know how to put buttons on my blog (I've tried several times, never successful), this is what the button looks like:
Are you interested in joining us in our savings plan? It is amazing how fast the coins add up and adding a few bills never hurts, right? Found money!!!

YEAH!! THanks for joining us!! I have been a coin savers forever and still continue to enjoy filling my piggy bank. I just treated myself to 100 pack of clover binding clips and goodies for my grand guys. (Still have another $100 to spend...probably on fabric!!) Happy savings!!
Great idea and why not?!? I could just see how much I can save that way and then figure out what I can spend it on! More fabric, a new machine, a vacay, whatever!!!!! Thanks for the great idea!!!
I am a Washington native, lived in the SeaTac area for 20 years.
Joining in the challenge too - I liked your comment of saving for a quilt cruise. Wouldn't that be a blast?
I'll join you in your savings plan. And I think putting it towards a Quilting Cruise is a wonderful idea. I really hope I can go on one someday!

Our family does this! All our change goes into a big bowl. At the end of the year we count it and decide together what to do with the money. It adds up quicker than you would think!
Good luck with your "penny pinching". I have been pretty successful the past couple of years.
You are the 2nd person to mention a quilt cruise. . .that sounds wonderful, but I would just be happy with a weekend by myself with a sewing machine and projects (we have 2 dogs, one of which is diabetic, and I am the main caregiver so unless we are boarding them their care falls to me so I have to be home).
Have a lovely day.
Welcome to the Club, it is surprising how quickly it can mount up and a Quilt Cruise sounds wonderful. Hugs, Susie xx
