My stepdaughter and her husband are adopting a baby that is due to be born the end of April. She is decorating the nursery in grays with a pop of teal and she loves elephants. Well, isn't that just perfect (in so many ways!!)! Lorna who blogs at Sew Fresh Quilts designed the adorable quilt, Elephant Parade, so I just had to follow her pattern and make this quilt for my stepdaughter and the new grand!! Of course, I had to put my twist on it so it is a bit different from hers, and that is just fine. It is not quilted yet but it will be on the frame soon!

What a beautiful layout and use of Lorna's design; this is stunning and I hope it is well loved. :)
Love your teal and grey take on the elephants! This is such a fun looking parade. Congratulations on the upcoming birth of a new grandchild!
Really awesome Susan! You are very creative! Welcome back to your blog! LOL
Susoan this is so beautiful. I love what you did with the elephants and colors.
Very nice personal spin on the pattern.
Very creative! I love the reverse elephants.
I just love how you spaced these all differently. And I love the teal. Well done!
That looks great. What a lucky baby.
I really like your variation on the parade pattern, especially alternating light and dark backgrounds. Very effective quilt. I can imagine you are quite excited, waiting for the new baby.
I love your variation!!!! Those pops of teal are perfect in so many ways!
Love your elephant quilt!!!! When I make another one I will use your tails!!!
